Amanda's and Alexis's housewarming party cum Lpy's and Mq's bday party (:

If u guys r wondering why im hardly ever online nowadays... bad news for me! Apparently i've exceeded my internet usage limit by 3 times..and sucked up most of the memory of my internet provider that the aus goverment has landed on them (the provider) a penalty. And the culprit is ME! Well i didn't know my internet limit was 5GB?! So i kept usin and watchin my movies and anime until my internet stopped 2 days ago. It wasn't like that back home lor. So i had the idea my internet was 'unlimited'. So they tell me if i wanna use it immediately ive to pay a $500 penalty or they are still discussing about some other option..i think. Wow ive landed myself in debt lols. Shock! So for now i'll be using school lib comp. Hopefully they remove the penalty o_o For now its humongus saving time. Boo!

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Thank You Father (:
I miss CG and CHC services!

Went out w/ mq to Smith St and Brunswick St on Tues. Going out w/ mq is fun! As we walked we chatted mostly about food and recipes lols (: We got lost as a result of my blurness syndrome ... (i don't even know my way around Orchard Rd) but luckily saved by lpy's sms (: It was whipping windy but i had my cap on! Some of the shops were very cute and vintage and artsy! I found the shop i wanted to go-Lost & Found, lots of vintagey stuff! and i saw this apron which was soooo kawaii and selling at $10 but i decided not to buy ): And we found the artshop me & lpy went before! Lucky! And also Modern Japan which i was hugely disappointed cos i couldnt find a kawaii bento box to give to Mq as bday pressie ): Daiso would be so much better!! Daiiiisoo~ )': Nyaa!

Can't wait for this Saturday's party at Manda's place (: Tmr i'll be making wontons again! I found another way to fold dumplings, hopefully they turn out nice!! [:

For dinner today i decided to steam the blue grenadier fish fillet that i bought last week. It smelt really fishy, the yu xing wei was very strong. I tried to copy my ahma's method of steaming fish + mq's advice and added a little soy sauce, sesame oil, no ginger so i used garlic, salt and cut chilli and a dash of pepper on top and put my halved fish fillets in a bowl into the pot with some water. And it turned out reallyyyyy GOOD!! The fishy smell disappeared and the flesh was really tender and the gravy yummilicious. OMG i surprised myself and my neighbors. Its my first time and success steaming fish! (((:

2nd dish i made was black pepper beef and it also turned out really yummy too! Yayy! I chao-ed the beef slices added cut chilli, coarse black pepper, light soy sauce, abit of oyster sauce, little hot water for gravy. My first time cooking black pepper beef too! Hahas im really satisfied today [: I think coming to aus to study is not bad lah...from one who doesn't know and lazy to cook, i think i've improved alot in cooking! (: plus, last time i didn't like to eat egg, potato, tomato, drink coffee etc...nw i do! Wow!

I couldn't think of what to cook for lunch today and i was lazy 2 cook rice for my marinated pork...so i thought of chao-ing the mian xian/ mi sua with pan-fried fish. It was a TOTAL DISASTER!!! )': mian xian when chao-ed clumped together prolly cos of the rice flour and it tasted gooey yuck! GROSS! Shit. Shit. Shit!!! I was hugely sadded it ended up looking like shit and tasting like shit so i chucked the mess into the bin. Ok lesson learnt...laziness and stupidity only makes shitty food.

Tonight will be nice! Im making herbal chicky soup (according to directions from the packet)! mmyum! (:

Going to tabletennis w/ my neighbors nw!

Gold Coast was heaps fun! (: But once is enough for me. I almost died of fear sitting crazy rollercoasters...i rather go to the forest and pick fungi.

This is Superman (left) and The Drop, two of the rides which i almost lost my soul.

Gosh im seriously broke. Really really spent too much on this trip i feel immensely guilty. Now its BIG SAVING TIME! no more clothes shoes whatsoever! Only foooood!!! I bought portuguese marinade today! It ROCKS! I added cut chilli and the marinade already had a lime taste to the drumsticks and let it rest for 20 mins before chucking into the oven. Boy boy it was YUMMILICIOUS! Shiok! The teriyaki sauce that Mei left was not bad also! Then can also try adding mixed herbs or oregano to it, yummmmmness. I pig out alot nowawayds to gain back the lost fat during the trip. Instead of cheesecake i got chocolate bavarian cake and finished half of it in 2 days. I spend alot of time in the kitch sia my locker has alot of condiments and marinades! Yessss! Its an achievement i gained 2 kg since feb! so instead of 43 im now 45kg! HAHA! 2 more kg to reach my 2009 goal! (:

Currently hooked onto Easy Fortune Happy Life. Han dong jie is sooooo shuai! EEEEps! I love his rugged look and hair and his cuteness! (:

Mich & Yj: I sent you a mini parcel today! Sorry u waited for so long! U shud b receiving it next week! Hugs (((:

1st stop: Mt. Dandenong Skyhigh Observatory

Let's just say the fog was terrible at the peak of the mountain. Visibility : terrible!. Can't see any scenic views... ): Good thing: I found my BOTTLEBRUSHES!! HUGE FAT BIG ONES! yipeeyayoh! ((:

2nd stop: William Ricketts Sanctuary

The lady gave us a discounted admission price $5 a person. The sanctuary is awesome!!! We also tumbled upon William Rickett's grave where his ashes were buried O_O.

Freaky-looking naked sculptures hiding in almost every nook and cranny but the sanctuary also has a treasure trove of fungi!!

My most treasured find! If im not wrong this is the puffball fungus! (Shown above) COOOL! Upon poking the fruiting body with a twig, a cloud of brown powder-like spores was released! These spores are burst into the air naturally when the fruiting body matures. Oh wells. Lol! I couldn't help but poke it! (:

3rd stop: National Rhododendron Gardens

Isn't it amazing? The forest is full of uberuber tall Mountain Ash aka Eucalyptus Regnans. In a cool temperate rainforest, weather is unpredictable. Good thing i brought the proper gear cos it rained stopped drizzled rained stopped... The rest when shopping while Edmund and I went to enjoy the Gardens. Initially we were wooooow so beeeuuutifulll but when we got kinda lost at the peak our spirits got dampened a little. Nevertheless the views from the peak were amazing. We felt like we were in England! Lol! Sang campfire songs while figuring our way back to the carpark.

Being a botany student who skipped 2 yrs of study on Australian flora etc i feel darn pressurized. Edmund bombarded me with questions like which are spruce fir conifer pine trees? What mushroom is this? Why are the tree branches cut off? I gave him my hypothesized answers. I think so lah.

Edmund pointed out to a very distinct yellow bare tree. The tree is not yellow itself, because on closer inspection, the entire tree is covered in yellow lichen-like thingy. Cool.

Edmund also kept asking me "Where's my cameeeelllliiaaaa??!!!" And then when he saw this white bunch of flowers he was THATS MY CAMELLIA! and i was almost misled until i realised this was the rhododendron i drew for my neighbor and i was like NOOOO!! ITS A RHODODENDRON and he was like REALLYY MEH? NOT CAMELLIA MEH? lols.

At the peak! (: After climbing on and on we didn't feel the cold and the wind, the exercise really perked me up.

4th stop: Mid-journey to Sherbrooke Forest

I never seen sooooo many parrots in the wild or had them perching on my arm or head before, not even in Jurong bird park. Stunned! Of course preamatron the brid man started feeding the parrots and embracing them with his lips ahha. I was more terrified of the parrots landing their droppings on my head! The fear subsided but when a few of them landed on my head and i freaked out. o__O

Final stop: Sherbrooke forest trail (Easy for beginners)

I'm glad we went to Mt. Dandenong Ranges! Thanks JK! for being a good driver! Next trip go FISHING! YAYNESS ((((:

YAY YAY YAY!

HAHAAAA! Since Shanghai i haven't touched malahuowo! ))): Doesn't it looks uber shiok??!! I got a sore throat from drinking the soup! lols!

TADAA! ZOMG I LOVE HOT STUFF! <3

Also made the non-spicy vege version for Mei who doesn't like spicy as much as us. Luckily my rice cooker can also serve as a steamboat cooker. Awesome! (:

Time to eat!! With Mei, Ling hua, and myself! This is the shared kitchen + dining room.

FINALLY! CAKEY TIME!!! WHEEEE! We roped in our french neighbor to surprise Ling hua with the cake w/ me as the cameragirl duh!

YAYY!! Happy 28th birthdayyyy! ((: May all ur wishes come true! Finishing well in ur phd and ur love life too! <3

What's better than chocolate cake and pink moscato? Lols! Muscato rocks! I bought it for 9.90 aud at the wine shop! It's just 8 % alcohol compared to my other Orange & Floral Muscato which is 10% and i got drunk drinking half of the bottle in my own room while watching drama. Ha...im crazy.

Woo! I didn't realise until Mei mentioned that we r all from diff nationalities! O: From left: Aussie, Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, France and S'pore-MEEE! (((: HAHA! I'm the only Singaporean on my level. That's the one good point of unilodge i guess. Lots of interaction with ur neighbors!

My Day at the Royal Botanic Gardens

Today's weather was AWESOME! I decided to go to Royal Botanic Gardens by myself by taking the tourist shuttle FREE outside school! Why do i go alone? Nobody to slow me down, criticize my flowers, and wreck the tranquility. It's so easy to travel! I passed Docklands and Vic harbor too! Spent 3 hours there happily taking pics of flowers and weird-looking plants! Some of them i studied in my botany class before! Like Banksias..bottlebrushes...Protea huge furry flower and yadayadayada.

The weird-lookings

And Proteaceae!!!

And a bottlebrush! Scrub-a-dub-dub* (: Looks like a corn though.

Not to forget...the famous Rose!!!

Other beuuutiful flowers <3

And then, i found the glasshouses!! Whee!

Next on was the....->

Out of the corner of my little eye..i found my MUSHROOM! people hardly look in those dark corners. This china girl saw me peeping into the foliage and followed me then whined to her bf she wanna take photo of it too. Copytoot.

On my way back to where i started, i saw this pig face on the fencing of the children's garden. Eey, i never liked pigs but i do love pork very much! Hot sizzling bbq pork...OMGGG! >.< *belly moans in protest*

Walking along the Yarra River bridge towards Flinders Station..

I guess there are too many photos to squeeze into 1 post. More can be found here (:

I'm currently hooked onto Mr. Brain with Takuya Kimura as the main lead!! And Ayase Haruka (who acted in Hotaru no Hikari) one my favorite actresses too! Faster u/l the rest of the subssssss eeps!!! )):

Storyline: Tsukumo Ryusuke is neuroscientist working for the National Research Institute of Police Science (part of the National Police Agency). He is generally incapable of reading the atmosphere of a situation, but when it comes to science, he is well respected. Whenever something catches his interest, he thoroughly sticks to it and never gives up, chasing down the criminals with certainty.

Jp versions make me laugh and they r so creative and sometimes ridiculous, but their dramas always have meanings/morals behind them. I like it! (:

Also on to Atashinchi no Danshi!

Storyline: 20-year-old girl named Chisato lost her mother at a young age due to sickness. She spent her youth trying to escape from the huge debt her father left her, and her battle with the repossessors unfolded every night. However, her life changed after meeting one man named Shinzo, changing her views on the meaning of "family." Shinzo comes from a rich family tracing back to the Edo period, and he adopted six good-looking sons with the hope of one becoming his successor, but all of them have strange personalities. Shinzo promises to free Chisato from her debt if she marries him and becomes the mother of his sons. However, a life with these six guys under one roof will not go smoothly.

My 2 favorite FAVORITE reverse harem ( instead of boy surrounded by girls, is girl surrounded by boys) animes:

1. Saiunkoku Monogatari 1 and 2!

Oh my gosssssh! Seiran is soooooooo handsome so is Ryuuki! Why does the story always end with the girl not really choosing any guy! RARR! If its me i also can't make up my mind... :p

2. La corda prima passo and secondo passo

This anime is realllyy reallyyy niceeee omgawd. Honto!! The 2nd series jus came out! But why only so little episodes!! RARRR!  I wish i was playing the violin... And omgg how come the guys all so shuai 1? Thats the reason i watch! I only like animes with prettily drawn characters. Not bleach. Nah. Other animes i like in the past is Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres in which Jessie intro-ed me! ((:

:: BTW, Happy Father's Day to Barry!!! (: I'll try and send over your Father's Day present asap! [:

Happy day! (:

Let's go tomorrow!! I was like uber enthu! So we had a veryvery fun time! It was the first time i took the rail train and it took almost 1 hr to get to brighton from the city. But it was totally worth it! It was not the best weather..but it was still fun all the same! Never let the weather affect my plans!

The rows of multi-color bathhouses were so cute!! It costs 200k aud to get ONE of these in the summer. Madness, these ppl r filthy rich! I miss the sea!! It was uber freezin..! Im having a headache now cos of the darn cold wind!

A jack russel came bounding up to us cos it smelt my Lord of the Fries fries! Greeedy pooch!

Red + yellow house is my birthdate: 1st! house of 77 houses! Wow! Btw, i'm pointing to a No.1 on top whichi is painted red..so it's not obvious.

Choke u kangarooo!

Haha! I think May looks so sweet with the seagulls! (:

Where there is water there is flora. Trying to make the best use of my Minolta.

It's not evening yet..it's only 2.30!

I'm crazy to get my feet soaking freezing wet just to climb to the rocks!

It was 3 hrs already! Couldn't miss the train! i'll promise i'll come by in the summer! Taataa!!! (:
